SYNOPSIS
Discrimination in different forms are
very evident in our society. Sometimes these discriminations can turn into an
act of Heterosexism. Heterosexism is a term which means giving out rude
connotations or attitudes towards Lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders or
the LGBT community present in our society. Sometimes even telling that their
acts especially in relationships with same sex are immoral.
Mario (Maria at night) a member of the
LGBT community is often hurt by his father physically and mentally. In
addition, he also receives harsh criticisms from other people. Despite the rude
treatments he received from everyone he still believes that he should respect
everyone especially his father. With the help of his LGBT friends, his
boyfriend and his own will he remains loving and respectful to everyone. He
also studied hard and worked vigorously to earn his father’s love and respect.
He then succeeds with it and lives his life happily and prosperously with his
father.
What media message are you sharing?
Our message is to present to the people that each one of us can be whatever we want and we wanted to show that no matter what problem you have or struggling with the only people that could help us is our FAMILY and their are our first priority here even though there is a misunderstanding or any challenges in our life, our family will be there and will always support us.
What media message are you sharing?
Our purpose is to inform to those people that we don't have to be afraid to show them our true identity, we have the rights and perseverance to show them what we truly are and to free ourselves to the fact that we were ashamed of being who we are.
Will the media message that you have constructed and disseminated possibily harm anyone or yourself?
No actually it may help to the people who's afraid to show their true identity. It would help them to have a confidence and strength to face the world even it is full of judgmental people at least they're living here in the world with no shame on their self.
Why are you responsible and accountable for the media message that you are promoting?
Because I understand how people are struggling with their problems just because their different. And I know that the people on their surroundings won't accept him but the only people that will never leave us and will support us is our family. Because that is what family is, supporting and loving each other.
